Time passes faster when u r doing something. I assure u about that coz i have been doing nothing in office for the entire week. Time seems to be crawling. Looking at the clock... it's only 10am... the 2nd time looking at the clock 10:10am. It feels like an hour is gone but in fact only 10 mins.

Can u imagine that kinda feeling? Totally terrible. Erm, jus to emphasize that i'm not employed by the company doing nothing. I'm a HR officer. Jus that the replacement has came really early and needs to have some hands-on work. Being such a kind rachel, i cant leave the guy untrained right?

And now, a task was assigned to me. I was asked to set up a xmas tree. 1st XMAS tree in life man!!! Got my colleagues to do it together. We have no idea how to go about setting up the tree, how to coil the lights on the tree, how to put the decorations onto the tree. In all, we are in a mess! We keep claiming that this is the ugliest xmas tree we have seen. Though that's kinda true, still.... it's my 1st xmas tree. Bear with it. Sing praises please!!!

My 2nd last day of work at my current workplace. Met up with Rachel for lunch. Got the same name rachel BUT i'm rachel shi and she is rachel He. The "She" and "He" rachel... She also jus tender her resignation and moving on to her new workplace next month. Congrats. Finally got to do what she is interested in. She always wanna go into HR line which is what i am doing all these while. No idea when will i be seeing her again. She's really a nice person to speak to. The soft spoken, pleasant kinda rachel and me... i'm the noiser version. I will miss those days whereby we take the same bus to work.

I was browsing thru the webbie on tennis thingy when i came around this. I think it's been out in the market for very long only till today i got to see it. Well, i didn't catch those tennis matches anymore though they are really nice. All becoz of The timing of the live matches. Hahaha... if only they could accomodate with my timing... i would be able to watch those matches. That's y i nv take note there is such a Feder bear that is out in the market.

Last week, my aunt came over to my place with the Coach catalogue from states. Mummy was eyeing on the coach wristlet and the wallet. Me too.... the wristlets was really nice. My aunt was saying that if we want, we can always ask my cousin to help us to buy when she is flying over to states. Mummy wants the original brown coach wristlet and wants me to get the black one so that we can exchange in using it. Let me consider man... I'm too young for coach. Or rather i'm too poor for coach. Wait till i gets richer or save enough to get them. Shall add them to my wishlist too. Bleh!!!

I always wonder what does it mean when people tell u... my hobbies are.... blah blah blah . Quote an example, blading. Does it mean that

1) U know how to blade

2) U know how to blade, blade frequently and enjoyed it

3) U know how to blade and enjoyed it but never blade frequently

4) U like blading and enjoyed it but dun really know how to blade


For my own definition of hobby, i think it's No.2. Not exactly to mention being good in it and blade frequently, but at least u know how to blade and enjoy it to fit into the definition of hobby. If u jus love to do that particular activity or rather wanna learn to blade and dun really know how to do it, u call it that's ur hobby???

I was on half day leave. Supposed to rush out my revision. Instead, i still met my mum at Miramar hotel for Tim Sum. Went there quite late. They are getting their last order damn soon so we have to like faster decide what we wanna eat and place our order. After meal, went down to Taka. I wanna go and see the xmas sale AND of coz the ELLE bag that caught my eyes the other day. I saw " all apparels at 20 % discount" I went to see that bag again. The lady there was telling me that there is no discount for it. Duh!!! I got myself a guess watch instead. I simply love it but certainly to get my ELLE bag soon. Probably next week.

Friday

My last paper, Business Law. I'm never good in it so i'm kinda worried about the paper. Samuel msg me in the morning, asking me if i'm going to library for some revision before the paper. We set a timing at ard 11:30am to get out of the house, setting off for school. It started pouring so heavily jus the moment i was about to step out. Gosh! And i nv like to bring umbrella. Luckily, it's all sheltered pathway to nearest bus stop. Met Samuel on the way to sch. He started asking me how come i took 2 buses to sch instead of having the direct bus.

My reply went like that:

I don't like to carry umbrella. If i wanna take the direct bus, i gotta walk to the interchange. But if change a bus, it saves me the trouble of bring umbrella.

He was like -_-" with my answer and told me that guys who carry umbrella look sentimental. Crap man....

Jus before my exam, I received a call from my beloved mummy, wishing me good luck. So sweet... thanks Mummy!!! A call from sherin too, and not forgetting a sms from Andy who most prob is already in Hong Kong. Enjoy yourself man...

Saturday

Nothing much... jus slept the entire day and went to my niece 1 year old birthday at Tenah Merah area. Was thinking of going out... but sherin most prob wont wanna coz she gotta work on the next day. So i stayed at home... Till almost 12am, Ru jin msg me and chat, asking me out for a drink. Followed by Kwok's call... asking me out to eat peanuts. How come he becomes so uncle now??? Ask me out in the middle of the night to eat peanuts??? Hahahaha... well if both of them have asked me out earlier, i will have agreed but i was too lazy. I mean not exactly i have to travel anywhere to meet them coz both of them will be driving down to fetch me and send me back. Esp Ru jin who live all the way at upper Serangoon, coming down to my place is not that near. Well, i'm jus plain lazy!!!!

Sunday

Went to collect a jacket that has been sent for alteration. I'm supposed to wear that over at my new workplace. I always wonder why hotel is so strict with dress code. I even heard before that hoteliers have the best dressing. I guess it's all about wearing smart coz almost everyone require to wear jacket or u may call it blazer and the black covered court shoes. Youngsters like me have to adapt to such a "mature" dress code which will most prob add on around 3 years to my exact age.

Headed down to IMM after that. I witnessed the ugly side of Singaporeans. When it comes to free shuttle bus, everyone wanna take. There's nothing wrong with that. Certainly, coz my mum and i were trying to catch the shuttle bus to IMM yesterday. The ugly thing about it is that no one bother to queue up. People jus rush to the doors of the bus and crowd around there. Pushing and squeezing which makes me totally turn off. Some parents are jus so irritating. Kids are already so poor thing being pushed and squeezed around especially u can hardly see those shortie kids in the crowd. They still pushed their kids to the front and wanting them to reserve a seat for them. And when comes to alighting the bus, i always think that people who are standing should get down 1st. Yeah once again... those pple who rush up the bus, wanna rush down the bus. Why are they always in a hurry? Can't they be more in order??? Stop being so Kiasu for goodness sake!!!

I'm really bored to death at work. Ever since the replacement was here, i have not been doing anything. Nothing in office. I came to office, msn, surf the web and went for lunch. After lunch, Conitnue to msn and surf till my knocking off time. It's a waste of time. Didnt they know time = Money??? I think i could have fully made use of this 8 hours per day to do my intensive revision for my business law. I have not even covered half of the syllabus. U can imagine how slow i am... especially this friday is my exam already.

I wanted to take leave tmr to do my last lap revision. Erm... not exactly last lap.... In short, I jus wanan take leave to study. I wanna bring mummy to Miramar Hotel for some Tim Sum Buffet in the late morning and start my revision after that. There goes my plan. The other colleague said that she wanna go doctor tmr. WTS!!! I shall see how man... I really need that extra time to study.

Great job man. Exam has not ended and i'm looking forward to my holidays. I'm not only referring to after exam holidays but also holidays as in travelling. I wanna go for a hols before i start my new job coz i know that it will be a long long time for my next trip. At least 3 months coz i need to pass my probation first. I have a feeling that next trip will only be next year end. Should be korea i guess... coz mummy said she wanna go.

Time to save up. For now, i can only afford to go for short trip. I was thinking of going KL and book a service apartment to stay with my family. Dad said that he is not exactly very familiar with KL and suggested Port Dickson. Mmm... Port dickson~~~

Dad: Nothing there. Jus the beach.

Rachel: Like tat sound like going Port Dickson is very boring.

Dad: Then i bring you to my workplace and ask my colleagues there to bring us around. I can also drive you all around to eat seafood what!

There is this mindset in us that eating seafood in malaysia is damn cheap. I guess at certain places only. Cos that time i ate at the Chinatown in KL, it wasn't exactly very cheap. It's comparable to Singapore pricing. Perhaps it's jus a tinny winny cheaper that dun make much of a difference. We decided to drive up there. Plan was perfect. I went to source out for all the resorts there and even select out of the masses to get a 2 bedroom suite at Ancasa Resort Allsuites .

These were all discussed between me, dad and mum. There it goes, i went to ask my brother. He said that he is not going. WHAT????!!!!! It meant to be on some fmaily hols over the weekend and he is not going. He claimed that he is usually very busy on the mth end and start of the mth. So there goes my plan. I wanted to go ahead without my brother, but dad and mum said

Dad: Then i gotta drive up alone. I tot ur brother can take turns to drive to Port Dickson.

Mum: Getting a 2 bedroom suite for 3 pple is not very worth it. 3 pple and 4 pple staying in the suite also cost the same price.

So conclusion is we are not going Port Dickson. Fine!!!! Mum said that we can still drive in for some seafood dinner. And dad add on saying that if i want, we can always stay there for a night.

Thanks a lot.... but I DUN WAN. I dun wanna go there jus for seafood and back to sg. I dun wanna stay there for a night jus for the sake of staying there to make me feel like " wow I'm on hols".

Never give up on searching for other destination for hols. I came across Hatyai. Seems not too bad... Went to look at the reviews online to see what to do there. Pretty much like bangkok i guess, jus that not much of shopping as compared. Food and massage seems cheap. Not a bad idea. So i went home and "test water".

Anyway, I came across this web selling necklaces. I love the care bear necklace at the 1st look. Is like the dog tag label pendant with care bear stating " Grumpy but cute" Hahaha... it's grumpy u know... Me and sherin were branded as grumpies by the AC guys. We are not only grumpy, we are cute too. Bleh!!!!

I have blogged over the weekend but when i click on "publish", the whole pages goes... unable to display the page. Argh... totally irritated. I dun recall what i blog about anymore... Yucks!!!! I wonder is it my home connection problem coz whenever i blog in office, no such problem happen. It always happen when i tried blogging at home and it jus went unable to display.

Clearing this module will all depend on this very day 17 November 2006. I guess i did put in my effort to study... i swear.... I studied till late nights everyday and wrote tons and tons of notes which i even dun know if it helps.

It's jus 1 hour and 45 mins to the exam. I'm still trying the squeeze everything into my brain... Argh... i dread the feeling of having exam.

Dun expect pictures for the post for these few weeks. coz i think i will be mugging away! I have yet to resize the pic that i took with SJ last sat. U see.... i got no time!!!

Stress man!!! This is the result of not preparing exam way ahead. I did do my assignment and have a rough idea of what this and that are about. U know, i'm pretty bad in memorising things. My memory can be as bad as an old lady. No doubts on that...

let me quote u an example, There's once these 2 guys sitting beside me at the lecture. One guy ask me how to spell a word ( which i have forgotten what word is that) So after a while, he talked to me n introduced himself. So i did the same thing and he introduced his fren too. He fren said that he knows me. What??? He knows me... how can i dunno him. So he told me we were in the same tutorial class n attended 2 and more tutorials before. I was like... izzit??? u in my class??? How come i dunno??? He was kinda embarassed for not noticing him. I mean i dun really take note of anyone in class except those who talk to me before and those attention seekers. I'm there to study ... not there to know cute guys u know.... haha ( though that's a plus point... i wont deny)

I got a mistake of the weightage of my 3 assigments and the final year exam. I always tot that

1st assignment - 10%
2nd assignment- 15%
3rd assignment - 15%

Total percentage for assignment is 40%.
The remaining 60% comes from the final exam.
So a total of 100% for this sem, i jus need to achieve 40% in order to clear.

But i was wrong. I called up the school and asked them.. they told me

1st assignment - 30%
2nd assignment - 35%
3rd assignment - 35%

Total of 100% for the 3 assignments
Another 100% for the final year exam

SO it makes this sem having 200%. The average of out of the 200% will be the marks that obtain in this sem.

However, even the average u obtained the passing mark 40 and u failed your final exam, u will be considered as fail. The requirement is to pass the final exam and average hitting at least 40 marks.

This set me even more worried. I dunno if i can get 40 marks. It seems easy to get but things are always unpredictable. U will never know if u have all the points but lack of elaboration( no depth) or writing too much irrelevant info or marker is stingy with the marks or no content no elaboration ( a total piece of trash) ???

My 1st paper is on this coming friday. Getting a little worried... Hopefully everything turns well for me.

Thousand thoughts these days... Perhaps the exam has made me a little tensed up or the new upcoming job is bringing in a little uncertainty. Everything will be fine... I pray!!!

Revision has not been progressing much esp my brother came back yesterday and told me about his paper. * Perspire* How would mine turn out to be like??? Afterall, this is my 1st sem... my 1st paper.

What came worse??? I wasnt feeling too well these days. Down with flu. Nose is always giving me problem and always come at the wrong time. I was kinda tired and decided to sleep early. I told myself i will wake up at 6am to do some revision and in the end, i slept all the way to 7++. Guess gotta take leave on thurs to make up to the time wasted these days for studying. If only i have made use of the time over last sat and sun properly.....

I went to collect my formal wear that i have gone to alter it. Then went for some shopping with my mum and aunts. Headed back home first coz i'm meeting Shengjun for dinner at holland V. By the time i reached, it was around 9++. So i started doing some readings from there.

I always make it a point to go for facial monthly and ithink that i dun really have time to go for it for the next 2 weeks so..... I went on sun. After that, went to the people's park OG to walk around. Hehehe... they are having 20% storewide discount!!! Nothing catches my eye only that ELLE bag that i saw with my mum at Taka the other day. I'm waiting for the xmas sale to own that ELLE bag. Shall drop by to Taka after my exam.


See how i wasted my weekend away. I hope i will fully make use of this weekend to study my business law. Argh!!!! I really hope...

Revision is progressing slow. I tend to be really lethargic these days. Haha.. give me some motivation to perk me up for some speedy revision or else i'll be in big time trouble. Give me a little knowledge from Robbins... and a little from decenzo please!!!

I'll be a good girl staying at home studying this weekend. Erm..Perhaps out for a game of tennis. U cant blame me for that... I need to de stress ( though i dun really have much stress. I'm more like lacking of sleep) and how long i have not even touched my beloved racquet. Please understand...

Simply got no motivation now... Initial plan is to go to Bangkok in January. And now... I'm starting my new job next month. By Jan 07, I dun have any leave to spare for my holidays coz i'm still under probation by then. Either i gotta postpone my bkk trip to ard march/ april or cancel my trip. I miss Bangkok!!! Or... hehehe.... if i could save enough $$$ and there are pple who are interested in going Taipei, I dun mind too. But going to Taipei need to spend even more $$$. The thought of that makes me think twice.

Well, my disfigured lappy has recovered. The Dell engineer has changed a new cover and did some updates for my laptop. Excellent service!!! More than happy to see my laptop back to its original look. And the sacrifice of my lappy has indirectly benefitted me. HOHOHO!!! That i shall not share it here!

Yesterday, i was heading down to my nephew's birthday in the noon and headed down to KTV with my brother, jolyn and her 2 frenz. Was "craving" for some ktv and tennis session yesterday. But.... rain rain rain... the weather dun allow us to play tennis. ( I mean even it stopped, who wanna roll the court??? It takes like half an hour to roll the court dry...)

So we went for KTV session at Partyworld. Sunday was pretty worth it coz the drinks are 1 for 1. Everyone entitled to 2 drinks yet paying like 14 bucks only.

Sigh... was pretty tired when i got back home around 12am. And to my amaze, my laptop cover ( the tinted silver paint) has a stain of diameter 2 cm and it's chipping off.

ARGH!!!!!

This lappy is even less than a mth old. I went to my brother's room and ask him about it. He said that it seems to be perfume tat stained the lappy, causing corrosion to the tinted metal paint to chip off. I was trying to seek help everywhere to see if this can be claim under warranty. Everyone was telling me " Rach... this is a cosmetic issue. Dun think can man. Use a sticker to cover it." I even took a pic to send to simon to let him see the condition of the corrosion.

I dun wan... i wan the original look of my lappy.

Finally, the savior is here. Jeremy!!!! He used to work in Dell. He told me that Dell does have the accident coverage for their products. I went over to the website and take a look.

I've tendered my resignation yesterday from my current workplace. I pondered a little at first to think about of i should be leaving for a better place but having doubts if i can manage my studies at the same time. Moving back to the hotel industry nv seems to be an easy thing but certainly a better learning field. Though the thoughts of hotel at times will make me shiver down my spines, i think it will jus make me a stronger person as the time goes by. The toughest time i guess i have been through...

Luckily, i have gotten myself a new job, a better position, a better pay and better benefits i supposed. With everything better, there bound to be opportunity cost. I need to work alternative saturday and the workload will be more. Yesterday, my boss tried to talk to me, suggesting if he can move me permanently over to help out on coordinating jobs for engineers ( which is called helpdesk) I was like... " Argh!!!" I wanna go into HR line if not i won't be even studying business now. And i dun wanna get stuck and get down there for years. Till then, i will gain no experience at all.

Well, i'm offered the position of HR exective and is required to be in formal wear. She said " i don't expect u to be in suit everyday but somemore formal and presentable. Meanwhile, you can wear smart casual for now till the hotel reopen."

FORMAL WEAR????!!!!!

Oh shit man.... how am i supposed to wear formal attire??? And it's almost everyday. OMG!!!

Okie here i am for the update for that missing period... As i have mentioned i'm busy rushing out my assignments which are due on month end. The best part is i'm total demoralised after i got back my assignment results. Practically my results are going downhill. I tell u ... i did put in effort to do but still i cant figure out why. I think the tutor dun really like me. She gave the cutest guy in class the highest mark. Well, i will work hard for my upcoming exam. Will start to do some readings by this week.
